More companies and marketers are now confirming that the use of social media is important to their strategy and success online. A survey conducted online by OgilvyOne in Oct 2010 asked 1,000 sales professionals in the US, UK, Brazil, and China about their use of social media.
- 49% say social media is important to their success
- 65% say social media is integral to their success
- 54% of top-performing sales professionals in the UK say social media is important to their sales efforts
- Only 5% of UK sales people use personal blogs in the sales process compared to 38% in China
